Why Enso

Built for the GEO question. Not bolted onto an SEO suite.

Most tools claiming to measure AI search are extensions of broader keyword-and-rank platforms with an “AI” tab added in the last 18 months. Enso is the opposite — GEO-only, dual-engine, and shipped as one executive-ready scorecard your CMO can forward to the Board. This page is the honest comparison: what Enso is built to do, and just as importantly, what it isn’t.

Three structural differences.

Not feature checklists — those are easy to copy in a sprint. These are architectural decisions that a generalist platform can’t retrofit without rewriting their core product.

01

A curated suite, not a prompt dashboard.

The product is a 44-prompt suite mapped to the five GEO dimensions — Awareness, Authority, Sentiment, Consistency, Defensibility. You don't design it. You don't maintain it. You don't pay an analyst $80/hr to engineer prompts that may or may not measure what you think they measure. Tools that hand you 50 or 500 'prompt slots' are selling you a workspace. Enso sells you the audit itself.

02

Two engines, not one.

Every prompt runs against a GPT-4 class model AND Gemini 2.5 Pro, both with live web grounding. We compute the consensus AND surface the dispersion — when the engines disagree, that disagreement is the finding, not noise to average away. Single-engine tools cannot show you this. They literally cannot tell you that ChatGPT and Gemini describe your brand differently, because they only ask one of them.

03

An executive artifact, not a dashboard tour.

Pro ships a signed PDF, an AI-written executive summary, and a one-sentence trend narrative your CMO can paste into a Board deck without editing. Most of the category ships a dashboard and asks you to build the narrative yourself. Both are valid products. They're for different buyers. Enso is built for the operator who has to defend a number in front of an executive — not the analyst who lives in the dashboard all day.

The pricing wedge

One brand at full depth beats fifty brands at an inch deep.

Pro is intentionally one brand, locked at signup. That isn’t a feature we’re hoping you don’t notice — it’s the entire shape of the product. Doing one brand right means: 44 curated prompts, dual-engine consensus, live web grounding, longitudinal trend tracking, on-demand reruns, an exec PDF, and a quarter-over-quarter narrative your CMO can defend in front of the Board.

Multi-brand surveillance dashboards trade depth for breadth. They ship you twenty brands at one prompt each, single-engine, no narrative, no rubric you’d be willing to publish. That’s a fine product for an agency prospecting. It’s the wrong product for a marketing leader who has to answer the question: what is AI saying about us, and is it changing?

If you genuinely need to track a portfolio, that’s what Team ($499/mo, up to 5 brands) is for. We sized the tier for agencies and holding companies. We didn’t stretch Pro to fake it.

The honest carve-out

What’s not in the box. On purpose.

The fastest way to spot a real specialist tool is whether it can name the things it doesn’t do. Here are ours.

Keyword research and rank tracking

We don't measure SERP positions, search volume, or keyword difficulty. If you need a generalist SEO suite, you'll need both tools — and that's fine. We're the specialist; the generalist is the generalist.

Site audits and technical SEO

No crawler. No Core Web Vitals dashboard. No log-file analyzer. The hypothesis is simple: in two years, the question your CMO is asked won't be “what's our DA?” It'll be “what does AI say about us?” That's the only question Enso answers.

A workspace with 50 brand slots

Pro is one brand. Team is five. That's the whole catalog. If you need surveillance across hundreds of brands at one prompt of depth each, Enso isn't built for that and we won't pretend it is.

A free trial of a sandbox

Our free tier is a real audit. Same engines, same prompt suite, same scorecard, same exec PDF — just one brand and capped at one fresh run per day. You see exactly what you'd buy. We don't believe in trial-quality demos.

Per-prompt metering

Other GEO tools meter you by prompt budget (25, 100, 500/month) because they're selling you the workspace and asking you to write the prompts. We sell the suite. You don't count prompts. You buy a brand-month of audits.

An AI-search analyst as a service

Enso is software, not a managed service. The exec PDF is auto-generated. The trend narrative is auto-written. If you want a human to interpret your scorecard quarterly, we have agency partners and we'll route you. We don't bill at consulting rates ourselves.

The summary: if your job is keyword research, technical SEO, or running a 200-brand prospecting workspace, Enso is the wrong tool. If your job is to walk into a Board meeting and answer what is AI saying about us, is it accurate, and is it changing?— then you’re in the right place. That’s the only job we do.

See the difference on your own brand.
